Description
Looking this photo one can say "what a beaufiful autumn". But the truth is completely different. Here the summer was awful - cold, cloudy, rainy (in fact rainy is not the right word - it did't stop raining for weeks, there were floods everywhere, many people were left witouht home, without a shelter from the coming winter). And autumn is awful, too. I don't remember such a cold and cloudy autumn. Even snow fell near my hometown two weeks ago (here, especially in the resent years, snow falls in the middle of december). Fortunately it has been warm for a week or so and finally it seems like a real autumn. But according to the weather forecast it's not going to last long.
Basically I don't like autumn. It's beautiful for only a few days or may be 2- 3 weeks, not more. Then the world becomes grey, sad and lifeless.
To me autumn is connected with the beginning of this long period of "darkness".
About the photo:
It's taken in my grandparent's garden a week ago. In fact this is one of my grandfather's vines. There had been a white frost and the vine's leaves had become brown and wizened. All of my grandmother's flowers had turned into black (look the links below to see her "gorgeous" dahlias).
But sometimes a beautiful lie is better than the ugly thruth.
Don't you think so?
